The City of Mt. Vernon

The City of Mt. Vernon is yet another community that has trusted Empress year after year since 1985 to provide quality pre-hospital care. Empress provides a dedicated ambulance to answer calls for emergency service. The dedicated ALS unit is supplemented by our fleet of system status management (SSM) units, which are positioned throughout the region. The system ensures that residents of Mt. Vernon receive the best possible level of patient care within the shortest response time.

Dispatching of the dedicated ambulance is performed by the Mt. Vernon Police Department with additional high volume calls forwarded to the Empress Communications Center. The close working relationship between Empress and the police department has provided efficient coordination of the EMS units within the City.

In addition to the provision of ambulance service, Empress is an active participant with various school, religious and other civic organizations within the community. Empress provides stand-by services as well as demonstrations and lectures for career days. Participation in these events is yet another way Empress demonstrates its commitment to the community.
